The Rundown #3 March: Get prepped!

Once again, we welcome you to the next edition of The Rundown. The third in the series sees us focusing on a topic that always makes sense, no matter where or how you travel - preparation! Let’s look at the ways you can ensure a resilient study program in this new era of travel.

Have a plan B, plan C… and even a plan D?

Step one: make sure you get there! Yes, of course, safety on the ground is a priority but first, you need to minimize any obstacles before you depart. We’re traveling in a world where surprises can pop up, even to the point that you might need to reroute where the group’s headed. Choose a provider that’s flexible and willing to move mountains to ensure your trip runs seamlessly. One thing's for sure, Travel Contingency Scenarios are a must-have right now.

Know your destination(s)

Right, so you’ve got to stay informed in case something changes in your desired destination. It’s all a part of the preparation for the eventual bon voyage! We’ve learned that clients want one source that offers all the updates needed when it comes to knowing where’s open and what’s required to get there. For any traveler these days, it’s important to monitor country-to-country measures and even discover alternative destinations.

Just in case, check some case studies

“So, what happens if a participant tests positive? What happens to the program?” Frankly speaking, yes, it can happen, but it doesn’t have to affect the outcome. You simply need a savvy on-the-ground team that puts the ‘pro’ in program! And rest assured, we’ve been there before. With that in mind, it’s worth reading a few case studies about how ISP dealt with participants testing positive but above all, how the trip was unaffected and still top-notch.

Travel may have changed a little, but the need for an organized and methodical approach hasn’t! I’d be happy to answer any questions you might have about how we’re approaching travel in 2022.
