In this course, students will explore the latest business technology trends from corporate leaders, entrepreneurs and field experts through live and interactive presentations and discussions.  

LEARNING OUTCOMES

• Understand Artificial Intelligence (AI), its applications and the related opportunities, challenges and ethical concerns behind machine learning, deep learning, data science and neural networks

• Gain practical knowledge of the Internet of Things (IoT), what constitutes an IoT design solution and how to implement IoT ideas within a student’s specialized field

• Be able to identify security and privacy-related threats such as data breaches, cloud abuse and malware attacks and understand the importance of cybersecurity strategies in business

• Exposure to innovative tech startups, entrepreneurs and potential investment opportunities

• Insights into emerging blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies and the ability to identify their advantages and disadvantages

• Insights of smart cities and contrasting visions about how they’ll transform urban environments and the lives of people living in them

• Ability to leverage new technologies to enhance operations and business potential
